Product Details

Features and Benefits
- Durable 4 Mil White flexible Vinyl
- Good tear strength
- Compliant with GHS standards
- Enhanced solvent flexographic printing
- Laser Printable

Facestock
Fasson® 4 Mil White Flexible Topcoated Vinyl has good tear strength and weather resistance, but relatively low heat resistance. The TCL topcoating (TopCoat-Laser) enhances solvent and some water-based flexographic printing. This facestock is not recommended for UV printing. Please note that due to its highly filled topcoating, this facestock is not recommended for applications requiring the use of an overlaminate. Use of an overlaminate will cause a separation of the overlaminate from the facestock if the overlaminate is tampered with.

Adhesive
Fasson® S4650 is a clear general-purpose permanent adhesive featuring good initial tack and ultimate adhesion to a wide variety of substrates. Designed for chemical drums, it provides excellent adhesion on painted steel and plastic drums. Meets the requirements of FDA 21 CFR 175.105 for indirect food contact

Liner
79# MF is a machine finished bleached kraft paper liner. Used primarily for roll-to-sheet applications. Suitable for laser printer constructions.

Applications and Uses
This product has passed British Standard 5609 (BS 5609:1986) Section 2 and Section 3 testing, which is necessary for International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) certification

Printing
The topcoat on this product is suitable for toner printers, but testing is recommended to ensure satisfactory toner anchorage. To maximize on-press efficiencies when converting Fasson® laser film product constructions, material should be run with Grain Direction (machine direction) perpendicular to the Feed Direction of laser printing.

RoHS 3 (EU 2015/863)
The Fasson® product listed above meets the requirements specified by the European Union Directive Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive 2002/95/EC, 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2) and as amended by (EU) 2015/863 (RoHS 3) .The heavy metals and phthalates called out in this directive are not intentionally used in the manufacture of Fasson® products and the totallevel of any incidental contamination of said substances in these products would be less than 100 ppm.

Optimal Storage Conditions
Unless otherwise specified in this document, ideally store at 72F and 50% RH

Note:
The technical data presented is from tests we believe to be reliable but should be considered representative or typical only and should not be used for specifications purposes. This product should be tested thoroughly under end-use conditions to ensure it meets the requirements of the specific application.

LASER PRINTING TIPS
• Acclimate material for at least 24 hours at printer’s environment prior to processing (ideally at 60 – 80° F; 45 – 55% Relative Humidity).
• Open sheet packs only as needed for job and time allotted; Crack/fan packs prior to feeding.
• Do not allow stacking of more than 200 sheets in output/ delivery tray; re-wrap unused sheets with cardboard and store on flat surface in above recommended conditions.
• Keep laser printing equipment well maintained as indicated by the manufacturer (e.g. change cleaning pads, remove used toner, worn belts, rollers, dirt and debris). Use only genuine OEM replacement parts and toner cartridges.
• Every 4000 processed pressure-sensitive sheets, clean all paper paths, feed transport rollers and guide ribs; dust, adhesive, topcoat, and/or toner residue can inhibit proper processing.
• Maintain fuser temperature at the minimum setting that allows proper toner fusion and adhesion; inspect printer thermostat periodically and replace when visibly contaminated.
• Ideal location for laser printer is environment of 70 F (+/-) 10 degrees ambient temperature and 50% Relative Humidity (+/-) 10%; area should be well ventilated.
• Keep printer ventilation openings free of obstacles to prevent excessive heat build up in unit; a 14 inch clear working area around laser printer is recommended.
